Primergy heatsinks are designed for a specific server model and chassis height, so a 1U rack server, a 2U rack server, and a tower server each use different heatsinks, even within the same generation. We stock refurbished heatsinks for current M-generation Primergy servers as well as older S-generation systems that are no longer supported by the manufacturer.
Standard and High-Performance Variants
Many Primergy servers offer more than one heatsink for the same CPU socket. A standard heatsink covers lower and mid-range processors, while a high-performance variant with a larger fin area is required for higher-TDP CPUs. Some dual-socket servers also use different heatsinks for the CPU1 and CPU2 positions because of airflow differences inside the chassis.
