SAS drives are the largest group of internal hard drives in our refurbished Lenovo stock, in both SFF and LFF form factors. The 10K and 15K SAS HDDs suit performance workloads, while 7.2K nearline SAS drives cover capacity-focused storage. Many drives are 512e or self-encrypting (SED) versions, which are separate parts, so match the exact variant from your existing drive.

 

Refurbished Lenovo SATA and SAS SSDs

Lenovo labels SSD endurance as Read Intensive, Mixed Use, or Write Intensive, while older listings use Entry, Mainstream, and Performance for the same classes, so the same drive can appear under both names. Match the endurance class to your original drives, especially when adding drives to an existing RAID group. SATA SSDs suit boot and general-purpose workloads, and SAS SSDs suit higher-performance arrays and servers.

 

Refurbished Lenovo NVMe SSDs

NVMe drives come as U.2 and U.3 hot-swap drives and as M.2 boot drives. U.2 and U.3 drives use the same connector but need matching backplane support, and M.2 drives are non-hot-swap, so confirm the form factor and your server's backplane before ordering.

For Lenovo storage systems, we stock refurbished drives for ThinkSystem DE Series and DM Series arrays and Lenovo Storage V series. DE Series drives are specific to the enclosure type, so a 2U12, 2U24, and 4U60 version of the same drive are different parts. DM Series drives are often sold as drive packs, so check the pack size.

Many older Lenovo drives, including System x drives with 00AJ-series FRU numbers, carry IBM part numbers or IBM labels because the line was developed under IBM before 2014. Lenovo identifies a drive by an FRU part number, such as 00AJ001 or 01PE326, and by an option part number beginning with 4XB7A, such as 4XB7A10249. The same drive is often sold under both, and variants such as SED, 512e, and endurance class have their own numbers, so match the number from your existing drive.
