Many of these parts carry IBM part numbers, because System x servers were developed under IBM before Lenovo took over the line in 2014. Memory and drives are qualified for the server model, so match the part number from your existing component.

Parts for System x servers carry IBM-era FRU part numbers, and Lenovo kept the same seven-character format for newer parts, so the FRU number printed on the part is the most reliable way to match it.
