- NVIDIA Tesla V100 GPUs and GXT graphics cards for IBM Power Systems
Refurbished IBM NVIDIA Tesla V100 GPUs
The NVIDIA Tesla V100 with NVLink is the GPU used in IBM Power Systems AC922 servers for AI training and HPC. NVLink connects the GPUs directly to the POWER9 processors, which standard PCIe GPUs don't offer, so these GPUs are specific to the AC922. They come in 16GB and 32GB versions, and you should match the cooling version, air-cooled or water-cooled, to your server.
Refurbished IBM Power Graphics Adapters (GXT Series)
The GXT series are IBM's graphics adapters for pSeries and Power systems, used for console and display output rather than compute. They come in PCI and PCIe versions, including low-profile cards, so match the adapter to your system's slot type and generation. Most are long past end of sale, and a refurbished adapter is often the only practical way to replace a failed one.
IBM Graphics Card Part Numbers
IBM identifies a graphics card by an FRU part number, such as 01KL843, and by a feature code, such as EC4J for the Tesla V100. Older GXT cards are often listed by their four-digit feature numbers, like 2838. Any of these can be used to find a replacement, and matching the number from your existing card or system documentation is the most reliable approach. Search by any of them in our Parts Finder, or use our Server Configurator to check compatible hardware for your system.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between a used and a refurbished IBM GPU? A used GPU is sold as-is, without testing. Every GPU we sell is refurbished: inspected, tested, and covered by a 1-year warranty. We're an independent refurbisher, not part of IBM's own programs.
Can I use a standard NVIDIA GPU in an IBM Power server? Usually not. IBM qualifies GPUs per system, and NVLink GPUs like the Tesla V100 are specific to the AC922 platform, including its cooling design. Match the feature code or FRU number from your existing card, or contact our team with your server model.
Can you source an IBM GPU that isn't in stock? Yes. Cards shown as out of stock, and models not listed on this page, can often be sourced. Contact our team with the model or part number.
How much does a refurbished IBM GPU cost? Prices are listed on each product and depend on the model and memory size. Refurbished IBM GPUs typically cost up to 80% less than new.
What's the warranty on a refurbished IBM GPU? Every refurbished IBM GPU comes with a 1-year warranty.
