Refurbished HPE Ethernet Network Cards
Ethernet cards make up most of our refurbished HP network card stock, with 10GbE as the workhorse for virtualization hosts and storage traffic. We stock PCIe NICs in RJ45 and SFP-based versions with one to four ports. Faster 25GbE and higher cards suit newer ProLiant servers with heavy network loads. Check the bracket height and that your server has a free PCIe slot of the right generation before ordering.
FlexibleLOM and OCP Adapters for ProLiant
Many ProLiant servers have a dedicated slot for an embedded network adapter, separate from the standard PCIe slots. Gen8 through Gen10 servers use HPE FlexibleLOM adapters, while Gen10 Plus and Gen11 use the OCP 3.0 standard. These adapters only fit their own slot type, so a FlexibleLOM card won't work in a PCIe slot or an OCP slot. Using the embedded slot keeps PCIe slots free for storage controllers and GPUs, which is why FlexibleLOM and OCP adapters are a popular upgrade.
Fibre Channel HBAs and Converged Adapters
For SAN connectivity, we stock refurbished HPE Fibre Channel HBAs for connecting ProLiant servers to 3PAR, MSA, and other FC storage. We also stock converged network adapters that combine Ethernet and storage traffic on a single card. Match the HBA speed to your existing SAN fabric before ordering.
HPE Network Card Part Numbers
HPE network cards use -B21 option kit numbers and -001 spare part numbers, and matching the number from your existing card is the most reliable way to find a replacement. Older cards are named in HP's NC-series, while newer ones carry a model number in the name, such as the 530SFP+. Search by part number in our Parts Finder, or use our Server Configurator to build a ProLiant configuration with compatible networking.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between FlexibleLOM, OCP, and PCIe network cards? FlexibleLOM and OCP adapters fit a dedicated network slot on the ProLiant motherboard: FlexibleLOM on Gen8 to Gen10, and OCP 3.0 on Gen10 Plus and Gen11. PCIe cards fit standard expansion slots. The three types aren't interchangeable.
Can I use an HP network card in a non-HP server? Standard PCIe cards are often based on common Intel, Broadcom, Mellanox, or QLogic chipsets and can work in other servers with the right drivers. FlexibleLOM adapters only fit HPE servers.
How do I find the right HP network card? Check your existing card for its -B21 or -001 part number and search it in our Parts Finder. If you're adding a card, contact our team with your ProLiant model and generation.
How much can I save with a refurbished HP network card? Up to 80% versus buying new, depending on the card type, speed, and port count.
What's the warranty on a refurbished HP network card? Every refurbished HP network card comes with a 1-year warranty.
